Katherine oversees and manages Talon’s Asset Management activities, with responsibility for executing the investment business plans for a diverse portfolio of office, mixed-use, and residential real estate in the Seattle, Portland, and Dallas markets. She brings a broad-based real estate background to the team, with her work focused on financial oversight, capital project management, investor relations, valuation, and reporting.
Prior to joining Talon, Katherine oversaw the Asset Services division of Seattle-based Schnitzer West, with operations responsibility for approximately 3.6 million square feet of real estate. Katherine also served as a Vice President of Asset Management at Bentall Kennedy, one of the largest real estate investment advisors in North America. She oversaw a $500 million portfolio of institutional-quality office assets located in top tier markets in the Midwest and West Coast.
Katherine’s earlier work focused on commercial real estate valuation, as an appraiser with Kidder Mathews and a manager in the valuation advisory practice at Deloitte. She has deep expertise in valuation methodology and practice, earning the most advanced designation from the Appraisal Institute, the MAI.
Katherine completed her undergraduate work at Northwestern University and earned a master’s in real estate development (MRED) from the University of Southern California. She is an active member of ULI and currently serves on the Interactive Programs Committee. In her free time, Katherine enjoys hiking, yoga, and spending time with her family. She lives on Capitol Hill with her husband and their three daughters.
