Google eyes office space in the Kirkland Urban mixed-use development
Google plans to take space in the new Kirkland Urban mixed-use development, according to sources in the commercial real estate and technology industries who asked not to be named to protect their businesses.
The company already has a 375,000-square-foot campus in Kirkland. The technology industry source said Google is growing its Kirkland office so it can hire more cloud computing engineers to compete with Amazon and Microsoft. Google has at least 200 open jobs in the Seattle area, many of which are for its cloud business.
